Vintage Persian Seraband Rug

Origin: Markazi Province, Iran, around the vicinity south of the city of Arak.

Age: 1970-80s, 40-50 years old.

Design: Allover repeating boteh (seed of life) design with a main border of abstract plants flanked by two additional borders of boteh and flowers.

Colors: Red, pink, yellow, blue, light blue, indigo, green, natural ivory.

Foundation: Cotton warp and double cotton weft.

Pile: Densely knotted shiny wool pile.

Size: 3x5 feet.

Knotting: Asymmetrical

Condition: Excellent original condition with minimal to no signs of wear.
