Rugs from the village of Josheghan are very distinctive and immediately identifiable by their construction and design. The small village north of Isfahan and west of Kashan has been producing rugs with these distinctive diamond floral designs inspired by nature for many hundreds of years, at least since the Safavid era of the 17th century. The rug is very durable with its strong, stiff foundation and is suitable for long life of use on the floor.
