Origin: Afghanistan

Age: Vintage, about 30 years old.

Design: Mixed weaving techniques of flatweave and knotted pile creating a unique sculpted and textured look to the piece. Allover abstracted geometric designs of hooks, which are symbols to protect from the 'evil eye'.

Colors: Excellent earthy dyes. Shades of terracotta and wine red, golden honey, pistachio green, light and dark brown, rust orange, and more.

Pile: Mixed technique of wool flatweave and thick pile creating a carved look.

Size: 3 feet 10 inches by 4 feet 3 inches.

Foundation: All wool warps and wool weft, with a handle like a blanket.

Knotting: Asymmetrical.

Condition: Excellent condition with minimal signs of use.
