SOLD Vintage Persian Luri Rug

Origin: Southwest Iran along the Zagros Mountains, most likely Fars Province or vicinity of Shiraz, Iran.

Age: 1970-80, 45-55 years old

Design: Repeating geometric medallion with peacocks

Colors: Deep indigo, red, light and dark brown, green, pink, purple, orange, ivory.

Foundation: Cotton warp and double weft.

Pile: Uniform medium wool pile.

Size: 5 foot 3 inches by 10 feet 10 inches

Knotting: Symmetrical

Condition: Good condition with scattered areas of wear. Freshly washed.
