Origin: Afghanistan

Age: Vintage, about 30-40 years old.

Design: Mixed weaving techniques of flatweave and pile creating a sculpted and textured look to the piece. Geometric designs fill the field, resembling eyes, a protective symbol.

Colors: Deep brick red (it's a bit darker than how the photos appear), deep maroon red/brown, blueish purple, gold, light brown.

Foundation: Wool warps and double wool weft.

Pile: Mixed technique of wool flatweave and thick pile, large flatwoven bands on each end.

Size: 2 feet by 8 feet 3 inches.

Knotting: Asymmetrical.

Condition: Excellent condition with no signs of use.
