The square panels are filled with plant and floral designs, mirroring the symmetrical and compartmentalized layout one would find in a walled garden in Iran. Willow trees, tree of life, many birds, flowering vases, clusters of grapes and other abstract floral motifs fill each square. The main border features abstract flowers and the small outer border a repeating boteh (seed) motif.
