SOLD Antique Persian Baluch Rug with Camel Hair

Origin: Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran

Age: Late 1800s, 125-140 years old.

Design: Allover geometric design.

Colors: All natural vegetal dyes. Reds, browns, indigo, ivory, black, and natural camel hair pile in the center of the field.

Foundation: Wool warp and double wool weft.

Pile: Medium to low pile with varying areas of wear, wool and camel hair

Size: 2 feet 5 inches by 4 feet 6 inches

Knotting: Asymmetrical

Condition: Fair condition with some wear and a small hole. Most wear is from oxidation of the pile over time, creating a carved appearance. Freshly washed.
