SOLD Antique Persian Bakhtiari Rug

Origin: Village rug of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran.

Age: 1920-30, ~100 years old.

Design: Large floral medallion design.

Colors: All natural vegetal dyes. Red, pink, indigo, blue, green, yellow, brown, natural ivory, black. Excellent use of abrash (varying shades from different dye lots.)

Foundation: Cotton warp and single cotton weft.

Pile: Uniform thin pile, wool.

Size: 4 feet by 6 feet.

Knotting: Symmetrical

Condition: Fair condition with areas of low pile and exposed foundation. Washed.
