Description

Origin: Southwest Iran, along the Zagros Mountains, probably Fars Province or a nearby area.

Age: 1960-70, 60-70 years old.

Design: Small central medallion filled with 8-petal flowers, and a field filled with insects, floral, and geometric motifs.

Colors: Many shades of red, indigo, light blue, orange, brown, cream, gray, ivory, black.

Foundation: Cotton warp and double/sometimes triple cotton weft.

Pile: Medium depth wool pile.

Size: 4 feet 7 inches x 7 feet

Knotting: Symmetrical

Condition: Good condition with some areas of wear.
