Semi-Antique Persian Bakhtiari Runner

Origin: Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran.

Age: 1950-60, 65-75 years old.

Design: Allover lattice medallion with herati pattern with caucasian style “crab” border.

Colors: All natural vegetal dyes. Red, pink, indigo, green, yellow, tan, brown, ivory.

Foundation: Single cotton warp and weft.

Pile: Medium wool pile with few areas of exposed foundation.

Size: 3 feet 4 inches by 12 feet

Knotting: Symmetrical

Condition: Very good original condition with thick pile and a few areas of wear with exposed foundation. Freshly washed.
