Description

Origin: Kurdish village of Northwest Iran.

Age: 1900-1920, 105-125 years old.

Design: Allover herati pattern.

Colors: All natural vegetal dyes. Red, pink, indigo, light blue, yellow, green, brown, ivory.

Foundation: Wool and cotton warp and single wool weft.

Pile: Low wool pile with a few areas foundation exposed.

Size: 3 feet 7 inches by 5 feet

Knotting: Symmetrical

Condition: Poor condition and distressed with holes, but a pleasing overall patina with glowing natural colors and handles like a blanket. Would make a nice table or furniture covering. Freshly washed.
